Hi! I’m Lizzy (pronouns she/her/hers) and I’m a junior from DC studying studio art and media studies. I love puzzles, pie, tiny dogs, and biking downhill. As someone who practices art, it’s extremely important to me to integrate this practice with activism, advocacy, and resistance to injustice. In light of this, my goals as an advocate are to educate the members of our community about injustice as it relates to sexual and domestic violence, and provide spaces where survivors can feel safe and empowered. Additionally, I hope to raise awareness about the systems perpetrating rape culture today and the solidarity movements against those systems, highlighting the intersections between Advocate’s values with other struggles challenging racism, sexism, and homophobia.
